Sgt. Slaughter

Sgt. Slaughter is a living legend and became a household name when he joined the WWF in the early 1980s with his signature “Cobra Clutch” move. A former U.S. Marine, he earned his famous ring name during the service. He was a top contender to Bob Backlund's WWE Championship, and faced Bruno Sammartino in the Italian legend's final Madison Square Garden appearance prior to his 1981 retirement. He was an NWA United States Champion, as well as NWA World Tag Team Champion with Don Kernodle. Sarge experienced a popularity explosion that coincided with Hogan's in 1984. Along with Hogan and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, Slaughter was one of WWE's most beloved Superstars of the mid-1980s.

Hasbro decided to incorporate the Sarge into their GI Joe: A Real American Hero toy line, comic, and animated series in 1985! Voicing himself, his cartoon debut was in the Season 2 Arise Serpentor Arise mini series, where we learn the Sarge is one of the GI Joe team’s greatest warriors and trainer. ., further cementing his position as an icon of popular culture.

Dickey Beer

Best known for his work on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983). He portrayed Boba Fett and fought in the battles scenes, he was also Luke Skywalker in a variety of action scenes. He also played the characters of Barada, Sergeant Junkin, a Stormtrooper, Gamorrean Guard and a Biker Scout in the movie.

In addition to Star Wars, Beer is a stunt double, stunt coordinator, second unit director and assistant director for a variety of movies including; Superman III (1983), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Dune (1984), Supergirl (1984), Rambo III (1988), Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade (1989), Total Recall (1990), Cliffhanger (1993), Cutthroat Island (1995), Starship Troopers (1997), Terminator 3 (2003), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003), Hancock (2008), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), The Bourne Legacy (20012), Need for Speed (2014), xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) through to The Inhumans TV Series (2017) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).

He has also worked on several James Bond Films ranging from Never Say Never Again (1983), A View to A Kill (1985) through to Tomorrow Never Dies (1997).

Samantha Newark

Samantha is known for her work on the Cartoon JEM and the Holograms. Samantha voiced the JEM character through all 65 episodes of the cartoon series. Samantha also took part in one of the most significant and impactful episodes of the G1 Transformers cartoon. She voiced Autobot “Ariel” in the flashback episode that revealed the origin of Autobot Leader Optimus Prime! Ariel herself would later be rebuilt into the powerful leader of the female Autobots: Elita-One!

Tim Clarke

For over 30 years Tim has been Inventing, Designing and Sculpting some of the most unusual toys to ever be marketed in the US and abroad. Once known as the "King of Gross" after co-creating in the 80's Sectaurs (Coleco) and Boglins (Mattel). Tim now launches his new line of horribleness the "TOTIMS"

Tim Started his career designing and building puppets for the Muppets. Most notable were the Mystics and the Slaves that he sculpted and designed for the movie the Dark Crystal guided by the incredible drawings of Brian Froud. He also worked on puppets for Sesame Street , Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock for which he created Traveling Matt. After Dark Crystal was launched he garnered his first toy sculpting gig with Hasbro creating the Garthim, Mystics and Lanstrider toys.

He has also created toys for Melissa and Doug toys, EK Success, Hasbro, Mattel, Coleco, Kenner, Ideal Lossirs, to mention just a few. Check out his website HERE

Dennis Coffey

Legendary Motown Funk Brothers Band Member Dennis Coffey!!! By the late 1960s as a member of the Funk Brothers studio band, Coffey played on dozens of recordings for Motown Records, and introduced a hard rock guitar sound to Motown
In 1971, Coffey recorded "Scorpio" which was a million selling instrumental single that peaked in the US at number nine on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart and at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. On January 8, 1972 Coffey became the first white artist to perform on the television show Soul Train, playing "Scorpio".
Dennis Coffey was inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame as a member of the Funk Brothers in 2010 and as a solo artist in 2018

Dennis will be at the show all day hanging out with us talking Motown, Music, and of course sharing stories from his memoir Gutars, Bars, and Motown Superstars.

Kim Simmons

" The Man who Shot Luke Skywalker” will be at Really Cool Comic Con 2019. You certainly know his work... He's the man who shot the photography on tons of the packaging art for the vintage (and modern) Star Wars toys! He will be at the con all day selling his art, talking with fans, and he will also be hosting a panel.
